Keeper helps you shop for clothes worth keeping and trade pieces with friends. This page says plainly what Keeper keeps about you, who else sees it, and how to erase it.
Without an account
You can use Keeper without signing up. Your sizes, photos, style brief and picks are then kept only on your own device, in your browser. If you use the Phone page to move them to another device, a copy is saved against a private code that only you have.
With an account
An account needs only a username and password. No email, no real name, nothing else personal. Keeper keeps:
- Your username and password (held by Clerk, our sign-in service; Keeper never sees your password)
- Your sizes, style brief, swipes and picks
- Photos you add: your wardrobe, your style, your profile picture and pieces in your closet. They're stored privately and only shown to you, or to friends where you've chosen to show them
- Your profile: bio, favorite brands, and whether friends can see what you buy
- Your friends, closet pieces, trades, and the meeting place and time you agree on for a trade
- Your History: what you searched for, which shops you opened and what you marked as bought
- People you block and any reports you make
Help & feedback
Messages you send through Help & feedback are kept so they can be read and answered, along with the page you were on and any screenshot you attach. Keeper may also attach a link to a recording of your visit (see below) so a problem can be seen as it happened.
How Keeper is used
Keeper uses PostHog to see which pages people use, where they get stuck and what breaks. It records page views, clicks and errors, and can record a replay of a visit. Your own photos are blanked out of replays. This data is stored in the EU.
Who else sees your information
Keeper never sells your information. It shares it only with the services that make Keeper work:
- Anthropic (Claude) writes your style brief. It receives your sizes, answers and the photos you choose for the brief.
- SerpApi finds products. It receives what you search for, not who you are.
- Sovrn Commerce turns shop links into ones that can earn Keeper a small commission. When you tap a shop link it passes through Sovrn, which may set cookies to credit the sale.
- Clerk handles sign-in. Vercel and Neon host the site, photos and database.
- PostHog measures how Keeper is used, as above.
Friends you add can see your profile, your closet, what you're looking for and, unless you turn it off, what you've bought, the brands you buy most and your favorite picks. Someone you trade with sees the meeting place and time you agree on.
Shops and commission
Keeper may earn a small commission when you buy something after tapping a shop link. It costs you nothing extra. Once you leave Keeper for a shop, that shop's own privacy policy applies.
Erasing your information
On your profile, Start over erases your sizes, photos, brief and picks, and optionally your History. Delete my account erases everything Keeper holds about you, including your username and password, for good. Without an account, clearing your browser's data for Keeper erases what's on your device.
Reports you made about someone else may be kept to keep Keeper safe. Copies in backups are erased as backups roll over.
Age
Keeper is for people 13 and older. If you're under 18, ask a parent or guardian before you make an account or trade in person. If you think a child under 13 has an account, tell us through Help & feedback and it will be deleted.
Changes and questions
If this page changes, the date at the top changes too, and anything important will be shown in Keeper. Ask anything about your privacy through Help & feedback in Keeper. See also the Terms.
